About Pets:

I never had a pet in my life, but I always wanted to adopt one.  In my family everyone loves pets, although my mother is the one who don’t want to have pets in the house, because she says that no one is getting in charge of it.  My father loves animals, especially cats, so there’s no problem with him.  Is curious the fact that my mother and my father, both of them, grew up with animals in their houses and now don’t let us have one. My dad had 2 cats, 2 dogs and he even had a chicken.  I really think that my mother have some kind of trauma of live with animals, cause que had to live her entire life in an apartment with a giant dog, a Golden Retriever called Lark. In my case, I love cats very much.  One of the biggest wishes in my life is have my own cat, but I’ll have to wait until I leave my father’s house.  I also like dogs a lot, my favorite breed of dog are pugs but I like all kind of them, only some little dogs I dislike.  I don’t have pets but I’m always surrounded of my friend’s animals and that’s cool, like my girlfriend’s Terranova called Lenon.
Facso on strike!

Facso, as other faculties, is on strike because within the university there are some policies that are affecting the normal performance of the students, staff and academics.  There are main problems, precariousness, democratization, financing, are just some of it.
I think this strike it’s not only necessary but fair.  We're fighting for a basic right that is the social right to have educational high-quality.  Equitable educational system that struggle has different fronts, the first one is the widespread national protest and the second one are the local protest, inside each university and school where we students are trying to build from within quality and equity, starting on fixing the problems in our departments they are no more than the reflex of what's happening in the global scale of the educational system.

My participation in the strike has been very active, because I’m the academic delegate of the sociology students of first year.  I’m very interested in the strike so I’m trying to participate as I can in all the activities that the university do in the faculty or other place, like central house.

I think that the strike will bring us a chance to create a space to be constantly resolving problems about the university as an only horizontal group.  Also, in my opinion, this year the university will open his mind to transform it foundations, from little changes as more classrooms, until obtain main national objectives like free education.

The main drawback of the strike is well-known, the academic area is lagging behind and the contents of the year are going to be changed, but I think that to make changes there always have to be sacrifices.
Climb!

Today I’m going to write about climbing.  I started to climb 2 year ago approximately in my school.  One day a friend told me that he was going to the climbing workshop, so I decided to follow him and participate in one class.  I have climbed before that, but I never have taken it seriously.  Since that day I love climb and my life wouldn’t be the same without it.  I totally recommend everyone to climb, it’s an incredible sport, it makes you train every part of your body improving your physical state, strength, elongation, but also your mind health.  It’s a sport that gives you a singular spirituality because lets you interact and get closer to the nature, a thing that I consider awesome.  One thing that I really miss of my school are the climbing walls that it have and it tradition on the sport, a lot of students, friends many of them, that graduated of the “Altamira” are very strong inside the climbing world, like Jose Maria Aljaro or Lucas Gaona.  Finally I just have to say that climbing is incredible and if you have the chance to climb, please take it, you won’t regret.
